This course is designed to enable the successful candidate to teach manual handling Courses

The course is run over two days and is broken into two sections

•In-depth fire knowledge designed to give students the extra knowledge to enable them to teach effectively

•Teaching and training practice

On successful completion candidates will be get a QQI certification Fetac level 6

Course Content:

Unit 1 - Legislative requirements and health benefit

Unit 2 - Anatomy and back care

Unit 3 - Ergonomic principles and risk assessment

Unit 4 - Manual handling principles and techniques

Unit 5 - Planning and design of manual handling training programmes

Unit 6 - Delivery of manual handling training

The course is run over five days

On successful completion candidates will be get a QQI certification Fetac level 6
